Also...  Lewis County Youth Soccer has recently(2009) added a number of books and DVD's to the Timberland Regional Library System.

Online Coaching Classes

Washington Youth Soccer now has age specific training courses for those who would like to learn more about coaching techniques, but are not yet ready for the state accredited coaching license courses. These online courses provide an in-depth look into how to do your best at coaching without taking up too much of your time.

ChYSC would like all of it's volunteer coaches to invest in these classes as they will provide very valuable information to everyone.

The Chehalis Youth Soccer Club encourages all of those who participate in any way within our group to be involved and informed. Whether you are a spectator on the sidelines, coaching a team or volunteering time as a board member, you play a vital role in the communiy and in the development of our youth, on and off the field. ChYSC continually researches and stays involved in what we feel is the best training plans for our youth. Whether a player continues onto higher level training teams or just develops habits that keep them physically active throughout their life, we strive to be a positive influence for all of those involved.

We stand behind a Long Term Athletic Development plan such as this:

    Stage 1: Active Start (0-6 years)
    Stage 2: FUNdamental (girls 6-8, boys 6-9)
    Stage 3: Learn to Train (girls 8-11, boys 9-12)
    Stage 4: Train to Train (girls 11-15, boys 12-16)
    Stage 5: Train to Compete (girls 15-21, boys 16-23)
    Stage 6: Train to Win (girls 18+, boys 19+)
    Stage 7: Active for Life (any age participant)
